Re: Wheel Fitment Thread

Mods, is this worth adding? I thought it would be helpful for wheel/tire information, especially for knowing the offset......

Re: Wheel Fitment Thread

All right fellas, I'm not sure this has been answered...in the case that you get a wider wheel (let's say going from 7.5 to 8.5 in a wheel that has the same offset), where does the extra width show itself? I'm guessing that it's on both sides (the inside: closest to the suspension and the outside: closest to the fender). So if you got a wheel that was 18x7.5 with a 35mm offset and went to one that is 18x8.5 with a 35mm offset, the wheel would be .5 inches closer to the suspension and .5 inches closer to the fender. Right?

With that said/asked, will our cars fit an 18x8.5/35mm offset wheel with an appropriately fitting tire...say 245/40/18? Without rolling fenders/camber kit?

Cool Re: Wheel Fitment Thread

I didn't get any responses to my question so I decided to chance it and ordered the 18x8.5" wheels today with 235/40/18 tires. I'll post pics when I've got them on the car.

It won't fit 245 or 235.. especially without rolling your fenders. You're gonna have to roll. Most people get 225/40. 235 might not fit at all. Safe bet is to sell the tires and go 225/40's. It would only have a small little stretch, if any at all.
