I thought I had an image of my brake lights (lit up), but I can't remember where I put it. If anyone finds it, post it, or lmk.

My question remains unanswered of does anyone know if I can tap into my Depo LED tails to make the trunk lights get brighter for the brake? If so LMK

Sorta, maybe...

Run tail through a resistor to them, so they are dimmer. Run brake direct.

So add a resistor to the + and - of the wires and run a + wire from the brake light directly to the socket after the resistor?

Actually, I was thinking, you also need a diode so the other parking lights don't backfeed when braking.

Park---diode---resistor---light

Tee in brake between the light and the resistor. Normal ground, don't touch that one!

I think you are misunderstanding ' - '.

- = negative = ground

Park----diode----resistor---|---light
Brake------------------------------|
Ground--------------------------------light

Won't they still be darker than the normal brake lights?

Nope, not any brighter. There's no way (that I know of) to make those LEDs brighter.
