EDC Thread

Hey guys and gals. I wanted to share my EDC ( Every Day Carry). Not everyone knows that they have EDC gear but they do. Some are simple as keys, wallet, and phone. Just anything you carry everyday.

I'll get a picture of my EDC gear later when I'm home. Mine consists of things I load up with when I get dressed.

-Phone
-Handmade leather low profile wallet
-ATI 1911 45acp 4.25" barrel or a Springfield Armory XDS9 4.0-
-spare magazine
-folding pocket knife, sometimes two knives, different blades for different uses
-Streamlight Stylus Pro 2AAA flashlight
-Gerber Dime Multitool
-keys on a carabiner. I can't stand keys in my pocket. Too many times have I heard my alarm going off from the other keys pressing the red alarm button.

My normal pants wear are regular jeans. All supported by a good thick gun belt.

What's your EDC?

Re: EDC Thread

Nice EDC, I do like the xds but I was never a fan of 1911s (no offense lol)

Heres mine:
Wallet
car keys on one of those swivel key fob things with a light on the end lol Casio g-shock (one of those solar ones thats not an obnoxious color)
Zero Tolerance 0350 folder
Sig p250 compact 9mm with a TLR-1 in a Dale Fricke Custom holster
Extra mag all loaded with hornady critical defense
Galco instructor belt with skinny jeans or slacks most of the time
iphone 5s thats on its way into the ocean
and some extra hair ties for those days when I break a bunch lol (im a guy before anyone asks about the hair)
Used to carry a streamlight flashlight but I broke the cap, havent really needed it since

Re: EDC Thread

No offense taken. I have been eyeing a Sig 250 compact for quite some time. The 250 has one of the best double action triggers I have ever seen from a factory pistol. A lot of striker fired people have no idea how to shoot double action and the only thing I see is a lot of nagging on how bad the trigger is. I practiced and got pretty decent with a double action snubnose Taurus. The 250 was a cakewalk after that.

As far as skinny jeans. I wore a pair one day (wife bought them for me. Thought they would look cute on me). I have never put them on again. All day I was constantly pulling down on the crotch area of the pants trying to find room for my kibbles and bits. I don't know how guys do it. No offense.

Re: EDC Thread

I wasn't a fan of the trigger either at first but like many I came around. I hate the idea of a safety, or 2 lol. As far as the jeans go its like every other pair of jeans, you have to find a brand that fits. Over time your man parts eventually prevail and make room lol. It's always off putting though because no one expects a 150 pound dude to have a compact 15 round pistol with a light on it and an extra mag hidden inside those pants.

Re: EDC Thread

2nd Gen Glock 21

SideArmor Industries Holster

3 extra mags w/ Arredondo +4 loaded up with Federal HST
* When applicable, I add 2 more using a Galco Shoulder Holster set up

SOE Belt

Buck 110

Think 5 extra mags is overkill?? not in today's world.
