Every so often my 98 Accord EX 5sp will idle between 1250 and 1750 rpm. Mostly when cold, but it has done it warm. It runs fine, and it does not affect driveability, but then when your at a light, it goes right back to hunting. Any one know what it could be? Thanks.

The sound didnt work right, but you get the idea...

Mine use to do that some times..I just pressed on the gas real fast and it went away most of the time..But its a vacuum leak somewhere.

I dont think its a vacuum leak, its way to consistent, it will run like that forever, and then just settle down on its own. It also sounds like its totally de-fueling at 1750...
I will try to clean the iacv today...

I would also suggest that it's the IACV. I cleaned mine out and it fixed my car's idling problem. Don't try to seafoam because that only cleans out so much of it. Just buy 1 can of carb cleaner and spray the crap out of it. Be sure to buy a gasket as you have to replace the one that's currently on the IACV.
