I know that 18s look really good with our 6th gens but what about 17s would it look good? im asking cuz i found some rims on the SF craigslist and the only sell 17x7 and 18x8.5. the tires i was looking at have a big gap in price. i'm not looking for anything to crazy i just want tires so i can drive around on. my friend said i might beable to get away with running 225/40/18s on the 18x8.5 but damn the tires even for a crap brand is 88 bucks from kumhos with a treadwear of 400. If i get the 17x7 i can run 225/45/17s for 79 bucks with a treadwear of 340. i don't need to go all crazy, i'm just looking for something that can get me from point A to point B and have a long life. snice i'm getting something bigger then 16s i'm not tracking the car i just want it looking good. i forgot to say was i'll be running a +42 or +45 offset, i just need a heads up on which offset would be better with no rub.

17X7 would be fine, esp for SF roads.... ride quality is better, and tires would be cheaper as u stated...not sure abt the offset for a 17" rim tho

I am having good luck with the 17" rims. Tires cost me $250 a set. I know my brothers accord looked good with the 18" wheels but his tires cost alot more and we got about the same number of complements on wheels.
