So i decided to replace my inner fender liner, and lucky me took the wheel off, well I found some rust :( . I showed some pictures. This is a 2002 Accord EX-L V6, 169k miles on it, and i believe that my subframe is rusting... please help me find out if it's not the whole subframe or if it is, I just got this car in November for 1500$, but I don't wanna have to put a great amount of money into it..... http://s1382.photobucket.com/user/dagriff1997/library/

hard to tell if it's compromised, is it rusted to thin flaky metal all around? that's not a fun part of the subframe to replace.
You should put Ospho on the rust ASAP to stop it getting worse before you decide what to do.
heres a thread of someone doing an engine swap and what it looks like removed, could put it on a lift and support the engine n tranny then lower subframes, if it comes to that

Lots of praying lol. My dad (my mechanic too) said he can patch it. Its patchable. The top of it has holes in it. And the right side. He said it should be fine. No junk yard has any subframe rear beams around... I found a used one on a website for like 300$ but im only 16 so its not like money comes easy. After we patch it im undercoating every mother trucking part of that car lol.. and thank you for posting those photos!!

Patch it with metal = welding

Learn how, I have been since I was ~12yo. Is fun.

Now that I do tig, arc, and torch, MIG is point and shoot easy. I'd guess your on mig, prolly 110v, fun and good learning point.
