Will 225/55/17's fit a 99 sedan

I have a 99 sedan as was going to put 225/55/17 on my aftermarket rims. Will they fit. stock height.

Are you i4 or V6? What trim?

You don't want more than a 50 sidewall. 50 is the correct size to maintain factory diameter and keep the odo/speedo accurate, but a lot of people go with 45.

I think your factory tire size was 195/65/15. How wide are the 17's?

225/55 will be way too big, you would want a 45 sidewall with a 225 section width to keep in OEM spec. Or, more likely, a 215/45.

im currently running a 215/50/17 and its already SUPER chunky. i like it though. but i agree with RED, 55 is too big.

im runnin 205/45/17 on 8 inch wide rims and it looks and drives great!

no stretch!

i am also pretty low and wanted a little skinnier...

ok i guess id better not try. How wide can i go on 17's they are 17x7 i have some 235's

Kinda, yea. 235 is way too wide for a 7" wide rim. You could use it, but it would look like crap.

Sell those tires for what you can and put that money toward some new ones of the correct size.
