2002 V6 lower MPG than an M3?!!!

Hello all I noticed a troubling issue regarding my MPG. I filled up my tank 10.3 gallons to the dot 2 weeks ago. I injured my ankle, so consequently I was unable to drive. I did drive around here and there but no where further than 6+ miles. Now I look at my dashboard and I see the gas light on..... I've only driven 86 miles since the last fill up. What's up with this? If it helps I'm using octane 87

My DD uses more gas than my garage queen :wtf1:

maybe u have a leak, cause um not even 100mile to the tank? Do you have and CELs on?

Thanks for your response cpyro, it was not filled to the top but I did fill 10gallons worth and no leaks or CEL's. So I'm very confused... maybe spark plugs? filters? even they are at fault 10mpg is quite ridiculous to say the least.

when was the last time u did any maintanence on the car? also check ur tire pressure. Check the easy and cheap things first before throwing too much money at it. It could be a lot of things, but check the basics first.
