Egr block off plate

Who has one? How does it affect the f23? Any performance gain or gas mileage change? I am tired of messing with the thing, I hate looking at it and I want to have clean combustion. I might just fab a plate and try it. Will I have to run a slightly higher octane?

No performance gain at all. You will never pass emissions without it.

I don't have to take an emissions test where I live, not in Banjoville, Missouri. Even if it does nothing I don't have to look at it. Is there any good reason I need it?

Then fix it. You'll have to remove the top part of the intake plenum to see that the passage is probably full of carbon built up.

I made a plate to remove the one on my C1500, n/p, I expected a MIL but didn't get one. It didn't work before, either.

I went to headers, that's why.

Get some carb cleaner and a pipe cleaner or steel wool and clean your intake manifold. Seafoam too. There's several companies that make EGR block off plates
