Hi all, new to the forums. I have a 1999 accord Ex - ULEV with the 2.3 Vtec. I've had a problem with the EGR valve for a few months now. I bought a new one, reset the light, it came back on. I've cleaned the exhaust and intake ports several times with seafoam/nylon bristle brush/ compressed air so I know both of these are flowing freely. This past weekend I started to investigate more and realized that the plug (between pins 4 & 6) is supplying 7 volts. Using some spare wire I supplied 12v directly to the EGV valve and it shot right open. When plugged in though with the car running it stays closed. I did get the new EGR from either Autozone or Advanced. Is there any change that the regular accord's EGR requires 12 volts but the ULEV's takes 6, and that I have the wrong EGR installed? Does anyone know what voltage is suppose to be supplied to the EGR valve to make it open?
