Anyone know where to buy the fiber optic tubes that BMW uses for their cars?

they're called Celis Rods and are impossible to find. you have to attempt to make your own but i've tried and i can never achieve that proper look.

If there is someone that I would consider a reliable source, it would be Vimal, when it comes to this type of thing.

OR....as suggested, find a set of BMW lights and take them apart.

OR....as suggested, CCFL.

the only thing you can really do is buy acryllic rods, carve lines into the backside (just like the DIY halos) and apply an LED on either end. problem with this is that its very difficult to get a smooth output, in otherwords, it will be 100% obvious that there is an LED at the end because there will be a huge hotspot.

i've attempted this several times and have never come up with anything suitable to my standards.

What if you backlit a frosted acryllic rod with a strip of high power LED's?
