Brand & Model: Enkei CL-S 5-spoke (Acura OEM on 01/02 CL Type S')
Size & Offset: 17 x 7, +52 offset
Weight if available: N/A
Price paid and from where: $400 on Ebay from individual seller.
Pros: I really liked the OEM 16 x 6.5's that came on my 99 EX coupe, so was trying to find 1" larger diameter rim that had a similar look. These are rarely seen on Accords. Spokes slightly recess into rim for subtle meaty look. Dual material finish, clean OEM look, really work well with the Accord two door design, I get comments a lot. Plus made by Enkei!
Cons: Gotta watch when parking along curbs since the 5 spokes do not recess a lot into the rim, you can scratch em if you're not careful.
Final Verdict: Great upgrade for the money, flow very well with coupe design, but are fitting on sedan as well. CL-S 7" wide rims are on Accords.
Brand & Model: RH Evolution C2000 Limited Edition
Size & Offset: 18 x 7.5, +42 offset
Weight if available: Lighter than OEM
Price paid and from where: $1000 w/tires from a member
Pros: Amazing "motorsport" looks w/sharp machined finish. Good lip depth, has cotter pin in center instead of C2's cap. Shows brake assembly well and flows with car. Perfect mix of touring sport and elegance.
Cons: None other than rarity of parts.
Final Verdict: Perfect wheel for a clean OEM but slightly upscale performance look. Machined beauty.
Brand & Model: Enkei TL A-Spec 5-spoke (Acura OEM on 05-08 TL A-Spec models)
Size & Offset: 18 x 8, +45 offset
Weight if available: Made using a newer forged process that keeps them on the lighter side of OEM wheels. For example, these are lighter than the CL-S 17's above.
Price paid and from where: $850 w/tires from individual seller on Acurazine.
Pros: Lightweight for an OEM wheel, will accommodate BBK's, quality finish, split spoke design. Plus made by Enkei!
Cons: There are 4 variations of this style wheel from Acura, and the same wheel received different part numbers different years. It can be confusing so do your homework before you buy. For example, the gunmetal version was only made on '04 and is 8.5"wide, while the Sparkle Silver, Chrome, and Ebony Chrome are 8" wide. Also, these look similar to the RL A-Spec version which doesn't have the lip around the outer edge of the face of the rim. Like I said, do your homework.
Final Verdict: I wanted to move permanently to 18's, and wanted a split 5-spoke design. I also wanted a durable wheel that I would use in the fall/winter so I wanted to go OEM. I also wanted wider, a flush factor, and a sporty look. These met all of those goals. In my opinion, these are the best looking OEM wheels Honda/Acura makes currently.
