now that you mention it, yeah. i was too busy looking at the lenses themselves to notice the crappy shelving i'd at least put down a piece of cardboard to set them on, rather than strategically placing them so that they're balanced on those skinny bars haha. one knock and it's over for anything that's taller than it is wide

i noticed that...laying them down would be way safer. the shelves need some walls to make them totally safe.

Keep it simple.
Don't worry guys. None of the gear stays on that's shelf. I just had it sitting there temporarily while I was taking inventory. Normally it all sits in a big lockable cabinet with all the lenses in cases (that have them at least). The gear sees some abuse, but that's from constant use, not from ****ty storage habits
