Hello All--

I am now 65K miles on my 99 Accord LX and serp belt needs to be replaced. I don't wanna have it serviced at the dealership that will hurt my pocket. Does anybody know how to do it step by step? I've already searched here in the forum but nobody posted that yet. Many thanks.

You shouldn't need it at 65k, I didn't do mine till 95k and that was still too early. Just make sure the belts have proper tension and aren't cracked/frayed or anything.

Mine doesn't really show signs of cracks. I just depend on the dealer's maintenance sched. I'm too concerned that it might break anytime.

depending on 4cyl or v6 4 cyl belts are so easy lower the alternater and the adjuster on the ps pump replace both at the same time if you are worried take both belts off and put new ones back on,there about no more 25 bucks each very easy on 4 bangers v6 you dont have much room
