Brand & model: DC Sports SRI
Price paid and from where: Summit Racing
Pros: Awesome sound
Cons: Kinda loud at WOT.
Final verdict: Would buy another if they were still in business.

Brand & model: AEM CAI
Price paid and from where: Summit Racing
Pros: Wasn't as loud at WOT like my DC
Cons: Annoying whistle sound, filter got soaked in the winter
Final verdict: Hated it. It's now being used as a charge pipe.

Brand & model: DC Sports SRI w/ BPi Initiatives Velocity Stack & K&N Filter
Price paid and from where: BPi Initiatives, Ebay
Pros: Good midrange to top end power. Sounds mean.
Cons: REALLY loud at full WOT
Final verdict: Would do it all over again.

Brand & model: Generic intake (can be CAI or SRI, I have it set up as SRI)
Price paid and from where: eBay, EAutoTuning, $35 shipped
Pros: Cheap, works, easy installation, car sounds sick with it, looks great under the hood, no complaints
Cons: The bushing for the fender didn't quite fit right, and since I accidentally stripped the hole in the fender where it was supposed to go, I had to leave it out (bolted down with a self-tapping screw). That was more my fault than the intake's though, so no big deal. It fits great and I haven't had any problems.
Final verdict: 100% happy with my purchase. I just don't understand spending hundreds of dollars on essentially the exact same intake with a name-brand stamped on it and a "better" air filter.

Brand & model: SRI (off-brand)
Price paid and from where: $20 @ http://www.advancedjdmparts.com
Pros: gives a loud suction noise and increase in throttle response
Cons: came with one clamp, needed a second in the kit. Cheap filter too
Final verdict: well worth the $20

Brand & model: AEM V2 Cold Air Intake (V6 Model)

Price paid and from where: $300@ SpeedWorld, local performance shop

Pros: Very loud at WOT, sounds amazing at high rpms, saw little to no decrease in gas mileage, not very loud under light acceleration

Cons:saw little to no increase in gas mileage, distinct humming noise at idle, had to be cautious of hydrolock due to low positioning of filter

Final verdict: Excellent intake, but would recommend to those who see little to no rain, and don't mind the loud noise under heavy acceleration

Brand & model: Injen SRI
Price paid and from where: about $150 from AUTOANYTHING.COM
Pros: great sound, better mpg's, don't know much about the power gains, but it feels as if the car got lighter, looks great
Cons: nothing really, i hear a slight whistling sound but all my connections are firm so who knows, barely even notice it though
Final verdict: much more comfortable with this than an SRI, especially with the money involved, also recommend because this filter is apparently better than AEM's paper filter

Brand & model: Injen Hydroshield
Price paid and from where: $20 from AUTOANYTHING.COM
Pros: filters out more **** like bugs and dirt into the filter so you don't have to worry about cleaning as often, also doesnt let a drop of water inside, so def. recommend for CAI!
Cons:don't really like the bright red, probably should have gotten black
Final verdict: it can only benefit you, and for $20, save yourself the stress from water

Brand & model: AEM V2 Cold Air Intake
Price paid and from where: $279 from Performancecenter.com
Pros: Definitely sound. Deep and throaty, kicks in at 3500 RPM on my V6. Gains with any CAI are minimal, but with the V2 I mostly notice an increase in acceleration from rolling speeds. Looks great under the hood, never used a bypass valve and have had no trouble with water. I have two cone filters I alternate switching. Impressed by all the sounds this thing makes - whirring sound at idle, light whistling at speed, meaty growl on acceleration, and when you let off the accelerator it sounds something like a turbo blowoff.
Cons: Arguably the cost, but I don't compromise when it comes to my car. The V2 is well worth the money when it comes to CAIs, pays for itself the first time you hear it.
Verdict: No desire to try another one, completely satisfied.
