If they make noise, they get power. Clean the linkage w/ 'brake cleaner' and a rag then lube w/ motorcycle chain lube. Now if it still don't work, new actuator.

If you get no noise, time to check connections/gnds and follow up w/ a dvom.

Update: the lock doesn't make a noise when I press the remote however if I use the key the central locking works from the passenger door locking both doors however from the drivers door only drivers door locks with key, any ideas?

Use a test light to see if it gets power, if it does it's very dead, if it don't I'd suspect the door conector.

It's in the door jam, it probably gets wet/dirt/etc...

Mine seem to stop working as soon as the temperature drops below freezing as soon if gets warmer it all of a sudden starts working again, funny how is just the passenger side lock that doesn't work the drivers door works fine on the remote
Sometimes, they work poorly if not at all in the cold.

usually that is from grime. It gets thicker when it's cold.

Lube it with some chain lube, really. Chain lube goes on thin to soak in (like chain rollers) than the thin part evaporates, leaving thick grease.
