Average RPM at 55mph

Good morning folks,

I have a 99 honda accord coupe v6 automatic bone stock. Transmission was recently rebuilt and i'm noticing very high rpm's - while cruising at 55mph i'm at 3000 rpm...seems very high to me. can someone tell me their average rpms around 55mph....also any suggestions as to what could be causing this.

that seems high. you should be able to feel your car shift 3 times. sounds like it may not be shifting into overdrive

Yea, it's probably not going into forth and then overdrive. Because at 55, I'm under 2000

Has to be. I was just driving mine another day and my best friend mentioned how it's pretty sweet that the car barely breaks 2500 while I was driving a hair above 80.
