^Thanks. I thought they would be too blue as well, but they illuminate as pure white somehow. 
I bought 3 of these:

And the LCD screen uses a 3mm, but I already had that one swapped. I also put some red tail light tape behind the defrost button so it illuminates as red instead of amber. The graphic on the button is amber so during the day it is not red.
