running on a "donut" spare tire atm !

hey so my passenger front tire is flat and is messed up. im planning to buy two new front tires, im running a 17x7 rims and was on a 215/40zr17 front ! idk whats the tire size at the back, havent checked yet. :confused: but should i get a new tire size? or just stay with the same? my tires are summer just tires. i was planning to get 215/45r17 ?
ahh i hate running on my donut spare tire ! wayyy to noticeable and embarassing

Might as well get the same to keep it consistent. Unless you just feel like buying four new tires to fix the one :thinking:

I would go bigger, assuming you are going to do all 4 soon. You are on late 90's Civic sized tires right now. If you don't plan on getting the other 2 done soon, then I would stay the same.

well its just for my summer season. stupid me sold my all season set up so i got left with the summer tires and the donut spare tire..... so my back is 215 40 17 as well , i called a local tire shop here and they have 205/50 17 would that be fine?!?!?1

yea my tire popped yesterday, i have 225/35R18 but im changing it to 225/40R18

k theres a local shop that has 205/40 17 tires, 50% thread life for 120 both mounted. will that look fine with my back tires which are 215 40 17?anyone can answer me asap?i got work in 6 hours and i dont wanna drive my donut tire everywhere! :(

The tires will be like 4mm and 10mm shorter (height and width, respectively). So it shouldn't look that bad.

205/40 are skinny as fcuk. I would go with 215/45 and change your rears to the same when the time comes.

And $125 for 2 used tires mounted is not that great of a deal. I recently had my front passenger replaced cause of a flat/pop as well and my dad found 1 at a local tire shop with decent tread left for $30 mounted to use temporarily until I change both fronts.
