I hear a clunking sound from the left front driver side while going less than 5mph and braking to a stop.

My front brake pads & front rotors are 1,200 miles old.

Do you guys have an idea of what could cause this problem? Thanks.

I have the same Clunk sound from same side in reverse..only happens sometimes.. I have changed out the Trans, ALL the suspension parts, and Brake parts excypt the Calipers.. So hopefully you figure out what it is..because it pisses me off that i cant figure mine out!! $2700 later...

and this is urgent how? Are you stranded on the side of the road?

anyway, slow speed clunking I would check out the CV joints carefully, then work my way out to the rest of the knuckle, checking the joints/tie rod ends and brakes.

Probably a loose brake caliper. The bolts in the calipers strip out and work loose sometimes, so that is what to look for. But you should also check the swaybar end links.

Jack the car in the air. Get a crow bar and wedge it into every nook and see if u can find anything loose. Pay attention to joints, bushings and any grease that seems to be leaking anywhere.
