After trying to fix foggy headlights on my 2000 sedan, I've decided I want to replace them since the two kits haven't done much. I would like to get a tinted/smoked set but most of the review I can find online seem to point to all aftermarket headlights not being built well and moisture entering. I had that problem on aftermarket taillights and don't really want a repeat.

Does anyone know of any good aftermarket headlights or should I just get OEM replacements?

Thanks

Check local scrapyards for OEM sets.

Those are still readily available and the prices are usually pretty good as well.

Also, consider a retro, there have been some in the F/S thread.

Get OEM's at a junkyard, or buy DEPO. Or buy whatever you want and reseal them with silicon.

I've got a OEM set if you're interested. No haze or condensation.

You could also try this. Find the cheapest headlights you can find to replace with, gut the clear lens, and reapply to your OEM. This will give you your clear back, guarantee your moisture issue (your labor after all), and save you the most money for the almost new look. Otherwise, DEPO headlights unless you want to hassle with aftermarket projectors like some people :hidesbehindsofa:

If you want to clear head lights use 2000 grit sandpaper and then a heavy cutting compound and buff them. then wax. That's what we do at the detail shop I work at.

^ just do that

Buff them

Cheapest thing u can do

Haze will return but u can always buff again

I did this about every 6 months

Then I just sanded them with 1000 and put 2 coats of clear
