Intermittent heat: works when it wants too

I have a 2002 Accord EX so it has climate control. One day the heat works and then it doesn't and sometimes better than others. So far I've flushed the radiator, flushed the heater core, checked the valve on he heater core line, and changed the thermostat. It's getting pretty cold in Pittsburgh, HELP!

Do the heater core hoses feel warm when the heat is on and car is warmed up?

Yeah they warm up.

Try squeezing them with the radiator open when the car is cold to purge any possible air.

Sounds like you need to start some electrical troubleshooting. I would hone in on the blend door operation.

You can see the heater core box under the dashboard. Measure the temp of that and the radiator with th heat set on max when it works and doesn't.
