98 Accord LX 2.3 Keyless Entry

How can I tell if my car has keyless entry? Where would the control unit be if it has it?

Do you have a sunroof? If yes, you have a keyless entry factory from Honda and that would make your car an EX, not an LX as you stated. If you had an EX, you will also notice you have a security light next to the driver side lock stalk. In order to use the factory EX alarm, you will need to order the remote which is FCC ID: K0BUTAH2T (run through eBay and it will pop up. Purchase a used Honda one, not a knock off), Honda P/N: 72147-S84-A03

There are options for you though with the LX. Honda sells a plug and play alarm for the LX available here...

Not really worth it just to have keyless entry. I'd get an aftermarket alarm instead.

Well, I tend to see the beauty in plug and play. Nothing to screw up. No tapping into harnesses. I think its great personally.

That's true. It's not a bad price when you break it down. The (2) key fobs alone make up a good bit of that price.

Yeah, and its also very easily expandable. You also won't spend your day bashing your head against the wall as to why the alarm is not working properly.

I have a 99 LX and i thought is was also the KOBUTAH2T (FCC ID) and unfortunately it was not..for the LX double check the stock module under the steering wheel but for my LX the FCC ID is A269ZUA101....which is what worked for me....
