MY NEW STOCK LOOK

Just thought I'd share this look with you all... specs: S2000 wheels.

FRONT: 17x7 (+3mm spacer) 215/45-17
REAR: 17x8.5 (+15mm spacer) 245/40-17

I'm not crazy about about the chrome at all so looking to powdercoat semi-gloss black in the near future... not too bad though IMO :)

Pics taken with cell phone... I'll take some better pics after I wash the car... lol.

UPDATE: Running 225/45-17 Front and 245/45-17 Rears now on AP2V2's

Ken, nice, I was wondering how the AP2 rims looked.

Agree with you about the chrome, any rubbing issues with those 245's on the back! :skurred:

Actually, not sunk in much... picture is a bit foolish. I thought of getting another pair of rears but this is cool for daily :)

I'm thinking I'll lower another 1/2-3/4 on an inch too.

Been running 245/40-18's on my Volks - no rubbing at all my friend. This is a slightly shorter tire than my 18" so it actually clear even nicer.

Thanks! Just wanted something for daily driving that's less eye catching. Once I go black, it'll be nicer I'm sure.

I wanted to get these powder coated, got quoted $450+ to do it since the chrome hars to be removed... I don't want to spend that much on a cosmetic touch - thinking I may just primer and spray black myself :)

Any feedback on that?

Well, there was discussions in a thread that Chris(RedRyder) made about what colour to paint rims, I did post up a link from the Toronto Prelude Club about a DIY someone did.

Some of the concerns are the finish and how often you will have to redo the rims each season, or how many times in a season you'll have to redo them.

Chips and paint flaking are always a concern, but if you are willing to put in the work to maintain them, they can look great.
