the members who have followed my multiple body and paint threads.Im back at it again.
Took my GFs 2000 Honda Accord sedan DEP,Got all the dents out and she wanted it black.
Body work/primed-6/11/2013
Prepped/Painted- 6/15/2013

Wetsand and buffing today.

She loves it,I will love it more after I wetsand it and buff it.Get all the orange peel out.I sprayed it pretty heavy.
She bought half of the material cost. :lawl:

Very impressive Monty. I don't see much dirt on the surface, which is superb for not spraying it in a controled environment. I'm curious with what grit trizack you are starting to sand with, and how fine of sandpaper you are stopping at.

Looks good Monty, wish you lived closer so you could help me with my car...I'm in dire need of a color sanding before I move on to the next stages of getting my car back on the road.

I have a handful of trash from being in the garage, but for a 300$paint job- she's not going to complain.
I started with 1200 wet on the fender and started on the door- went to 600wet for faster. Ended up stopping and running to work and borrowing a box of 3m DA 1200 paper so I can sand with my compressor.its still going to take all day.
1200 g, finish with 3000g wet on da- all 3m products. Compound- polish

single stage paint?
enamel?

interested in the paint and what you thinned it down to.
HVLP spray I assume?

I needs to paint a much larger project soon.
