best body for my 17-55 f2.8

hey guys, i just bought a new piece of glass, the nikkor 17-55 f2.8.

now i was just wondering what the combination of the 17-55 f2.8 and the nikon d2x body would produce. picture wise that is.

my first choice of body would be the d300 of course because i've heard that combo produces amazing pictures but i was just seeing more options.

i never knew a lens could work better with a certain camera. searching flickr would probably be your best bet for getting sample photos

my take on pro bodies is thus: unless you need or really really want the 50+ AF points or however many FPS they offer, you're better off with a newer camera.

and just like a sport model of a car, they've been more heavily used and repairs are more expensive. they're generally heavier as well.
