6th gen coilovers fit other gens?

i believe 6th gen and 7th gen ones are interchangeable except for the top hats... not 100% sure tho

I don't believe so.. Only thing close to that, I think, Doc X said that 7th gen coilovers fit on 6th gen with some modification. Or vice versa.

the fronts never changed through out all the gens really... its just the rears that changed by year gen... the earlier years the struts were shorter tho but with coilovers, they would fit...
tophats are different of course but i dont think the rear tophats ever changed from the 2bolt design

Does nobody care about correct spring rates for different cars? If the model number match, go for it, if they don't, then don't.
The 5th gen are 6th gen suspensions are not similar at all. The rear top hat is probably a good inch or so larger in diameter.
