I've fit 5 in my F23A4, probably another half could have fit but the way these engines burn oil or at least mine try out 5

I just did my oil change and it took 5qts and could've added a little more if I wanted.

i add 5 qts. i use Castrol GTX 5-30

210k the only time I loose oil is when I change the filter at 5,000. I guess that lets me use the .4 qt from the last bottle, the rest goes away. Synthetic, was on Mobile1, recent switch to Castrol, both good stuff. Honda filters!!!!! 10W40
You pull my valve cover (why, **** dont leak) you see nothing but shiny goldish aluminun.

Honda manual says 4.5 I use 10w30 don't forget to change your crush washer!

What's an oil quarter? Must be slick! 
I usually just fill until I see it on the bottom mark, then keep filling until top mark, start the car, let it run to fill up the new oil filter, turn off, re-measure oil level, pour until just under the full mark.

honda manual: 4.5 qts, 5w20
I use 5w30 since I'm in cali and when i use 5w20 I burn a little oil

i just add 5. its been almost a year since my last oil change and i had maybe 2.5 quarts in there. that engine is a god damn champ. f23a1

typically 5 for me, but it usually goes a lil over the top line of my dipstick...
