Today I took off my manifold shield and painted it, in order to get it off I disconnected this plug..

I turned on my car this evening and my CEL is on.... Do you guys think this could be the cause of it? I'm going to O 'reillys (sp?) tomorrow to pull the code anyways. Thanks

That's the primary o2 sensor hookup. If you left that off yes the CEL will automatically turn on. Just plug it back in if you haven't.

With most codes, one they are on, they will stay on. Reset your ecu or the code, either way. If it doesn't come back on, you are good.

Yep - you can reset the ECU or you can just do a 3-stop/start cycle. Start the car, drive 2-3 miles... stop, turn if off, re-start, repeat - do it so you turn your car on/off 3 times - the CEL will turn off.
