You don't want the lines if you have projectors. The lines are not there for aesthetics on the OEM's it helps disperse the light.

I just saw it on dre's ride and i think i kinda wanna do it... I dont have projectors... Do you guys suggest it??

it wont affect my light output right if i take it off? I got stock headlights just in case if someone is wondering.

^ It won't affect light output. Why would people do it if it decreased light output? You just don't want lines if you have projectors.. since they disperse the concentrated beam. If you use stock lights without projectors, the lines help disperse the light. How would sanding some lines off affect the output??

What do you mean how would it effect light output?.. The line on the OEM lamps HELP disperse the light. So if you remove them, yes it COULD effect your optics. The lines on OEM lamps will cause a fuzzy/hazy cut-off on retrofits. That is why people don't want them.
