ok so i just bought a type r lip for my 2002 sedan

it doesnt fit!!!!??????
i need an answer really quick and is there such thing as a lip for the 2002 sedan???????
please help me out thanks !!!!

uh.. it was probably made for 98-00's which use a different bumper. So you'll probably have to cut it to fit.

does the 2002 have a lip that was made for the bumper?

technically from what iv heard all the lips fit..either its for coupe or sedan.
i had a 98-00 lip on my 01 bumper and it fit fine.just need to trim the top part that slides into the lower grill.

you have to bend the side tabs pretty good to fit..i bet you have one side fitted and the other side is coming up like 1-2" shorter right?
if so just try to even it out and bend the tabs and screw that bich down.

But Darryl, the Type R lip is just like a mugen lip. Should fit regardless of the year.

Do you mean it won't fit as in it isn't wide enough? I know of people almost having to crack their mugen lip to get it on so I would think it would be the same for the Type R.

the 98-01 is the same thats why yours fit
and as for the side **** THAT IS WHAT IS WRONG

i will be returning the lip tomorrow and just getting my money back
ima have to buy a 2001 front bumper

i have coupe.so 98-00 is different than the 01-02 in my case.

but ya you have to do what i said,put it in the middle so that both tabs are like a 1/2" short and bend it and screw it down.

if you attatch one side and walk around to do the other yes you will have like a 1" gap short.

it actually takes a little time getting right.

Actually 98-00 has the same bumper. 01-02 is a different bumper.

if i bend it it will break cus its abs but if i cant get a 2001 bumper i will just put the lip under a hair dryer and bend the tabs

do you think that it will bend if i blow dry it ?
