engine swap... v-tec wont kick

okay so i just bought this car, the engine and tranny were swapped out, the v-tec wont kick in... i'm not sure they did all the proper wiring for the swap, (harness, ecu, ect.) but i dont know what i need... can anybody help me out...
its a 98 accord ex

F22 ULEV? Are you sure it isn't an F23A4? Pics of engine?

just kidding... it is an f23 A4... i should have checked first, been reading too many threads with f22...

When they swapped the motor did they use the manual ECU from the F23A4?

nope... they didnt change anything over... i dont know what to buy to make it run the way its supposed to ...

I know you didn't do the swap and apparently your "mechanic" doesn't know that research does wonderful things. Read through these and compare and contrast what your car has/doesn't have in regards to this info. GL :thumbup:
