DIY - 98-02 Accord Valve Adjustment (4 cylinder, VTEC specific)

Hi im a noob to this car .......sorry if this question sounds foolish:bash:

how do you go about "turning the crank 90 degrees "?

You do it from the crank pulley. There is a large bolt through the center of it. You simply stick your wrench on there and turn it.

Use 19mm deep socket wrench with extention. And turn the crank pully until the sprocket points UP (TDC -top dead center.) Make sure to crank COUNTER-CLOCK-WISE as you go.

Sorry to post on this thread after its been sitting...

But, I'm gonna finally do this soon (probably this week sometime).

Question is, which valve is the Exhaust and which is the intake?

I.E. standing in front of the hood (where you would naturally be), which one is on the left, and which is on the right - (use cyl #1 as example?)

4 valves per cylinder, the front two are exhaust, the rear two are intake.

You have to adjust all 8 front valves to exhaust spec, and then all 8 rear to intake spec. Adjust the valves in pairs!
