i haven't set up my stuff in yet. i just have a laptop with GPS receiver and programs. also with other special programs to set it up. i haven't bought a screen for my project also. haha. but if you want to know what features i have, i'll show you when i get back from school. also, if you want pics from my friend's setup, i'll post them up also.

for the cable, the easiest way to do it would be the s-video to RCA Video cable or converter, if your laptop has the s-video out (most do) audio is a simple 1/8" to rca cable
probably looking at 10bucks or so at radioshack or wherever

I started this as a hobby and ended up installing CarPC's last year on the side. With over 20 under my belt, I was getting tired of doing craft work for people who didn't appreciate it.
