Ok so I'm not the know it all about Accords but I did not know there was some many OEM hoods. I called the local junk yard witch has a huge rep in upstate NY as one of the best around. Guy answer and I tell him I'm looking for a 98-02 Accord cpe hood. He then asked me specify what hood I had on my car, so I told him carbon fiber. I then get told no what OEM hood did you have on your car, response (the one from the factory). The guy then tells me that Honda in NY had for different hoods for our cars. 4cyl cpe and sedan, Canadian 4cyl cpe and sedan and the same for the 6cyl. So to shorten this he tells me he has a hood I go over to look at it (in good shape) and he won't sell it to me. Told me that it won't fit my car because I have a 6cyl and he thought I had a 4cyl. It's time for to go take some prozac now and go lay doen for a nap.

The V6 have a different hood. But I am not sure how different it is.

For sure the V6 have the Hood little gaz shock, not the L4.

I've take a look at my Carbon Fiber hood dealer and they have a different hood for Sedan vs Coupe, and a different for 98-00 vs 01-02.....

So, now I am lost....

Yeah and Inline 4 term is L4. Well maybe not in english, don't know, but in french, it is!
so if strut can be mounted, then your theorie make senses.

a v6 hood can go on a 4 banger, and visa versa. its all ready if you want the gas shocks or not. the only difference in looks is how the 01-02 hoods have like a raised section, as compared to just the crease on the 98-00 hoods.

oh yea, and of course sedan and coupe hood differences as well.

Yeah for the diff between V6 and I4, you`re right.

About the L4 in french: In english, the I4 mean Inline4 (my guess)
In french, "Inline" mean "En Ligne". so, we are not using the word "En" to represent a 4cyl engine. So, we are using L4. So, telling the word in french would look like:

"This is a Inline 4Cyl Engine" = I4
"Ceci est un moteur 4Cylindre En Ligne" = L4
