Yeah. Ive had them on since August and I turned them last month. I probably put between 8 and 10k on them before I turned them. They were barely feathering but I figured, why not.

I do that too but they still feather after awhile. Running them backwards aint hurtin nobody.

Yeah, for the most part a directional tire is for channeling water. I always thought it was mostly performance related, but nope.

215/50/17 Continental ExtremeContact DW tires ordered. Should be here Thursday. I'll try to get them Friday, before I leave for Chicago. If I dont get them on before I leave, I'll get them on as soon as I can after I get back.
Not sure what I'll do about spacers. I'll see if I can find some locally or see about just getting the 5mm ones for now, just so I can at least run the wheels and I'll worry about filling them out later.

There are photos of 215/50's on my ride page if you're wondering what they'll look like at stock height (on 17x7 wheels too).
Good choice on ExtremeContacts, I hear mostly good things about those. Hope you can get them when you want.

Got them yesterday; going on today.
Ima call around and see if I can find hubcentric spacers but I doubt Ill be able to find them locally.
