Interior Pics, done or in progress
Decided to go ahead and dye my carpet, get started on my center console, and re upholster my rear window tray. Ya, be hold the madness....

While I had the carpet out, I thought it would be a good idea to use some left over Cool IT-Thermo-Tec insulation that I had to put between the floor tunnel and the HVAC feed to the rear floor board.

My center console project (amidst many other in my basement....)
The part you see sanded above the recessed line will be a shade of silver paint called "Reflex Silver" that I have been experimenting with to get just the right finish to match the center of the gauge faces. The cup holder and shifter area will be gloss black. The shifter it's self is another story.

Rear window tray
I only took after pics because we all know what they look like O.E. Removed gray carpeting, reupholstered with short nap black (no shag here :lawl: ).Also painted speaker grill area semi-Gloss black and deleted third brake light.

Future plans inspired by this:
Also include blacking out the red parts between the faces, and gloss black trim bezel. Something like I did previously on my 99av6-->http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/Civiclized/Fresh Pics/2012-04-11_07-58-28_239.jpg This will be easier to explain with a picture once I finish it.

Wheels and Suspension
Wheels XXR 502, 17”x 7”, 40 offset
I like the wheel for the polished stainless lip (I had polished aluminum for along time), and that they remind me of 2008 TL wheels. I bought these with full intensions of blacking out the socket cap screws around the lip near the spokes. In my opinion, the rim looks to have a smaller inner circumference with the cap screws crowding the lip.

Working on "antiquing" the center caps with the same Dulpi-Color gloss black touch up paint....

Wheels Mounted

Tires
Nexen N5000, 225/45/R17
Did alot of home work and found alot of good feed back on them. I was not going to go for directionals but, at a good price and having a set of wheels for winter, what hey?

Springs/shocks
KYB GR-2

H&R Sport Springs #51853
Front Drop 1.5", Rear Drop 1.2"
(I have had very good luck as a DD with this set up that was on my last coupe. Great ride quality.)

Future Plans
-225/45/R17 Undecided on brand...DONE
-H & R sport springs w/KYB GR-2's. DONE
-Dual Magnaflows.>>Changed so single Magnaflow, dual's out the back, Done-Fabricate center diffuser between mufflers with built in "Reverse" lighting.
-Fabricating an aluminum center console cover and matching climate control area cover. Possibly door switch panels also.
-Black head lights w/ retro fit. Maybe LED ambers.
-Ebay fog kit w/ hid's. May fit my own projection lens in these. The ebay ones tend to crack easy from my experience.
-Leather kit. Black with red stitching. Maybe slate colored center pieces to tie in plastics....Matched door arm rest and cente arm rest.
-Better looking / feeling auto shift handle
-Stainless console shifter trim bezel. Black leather shift boot w/red stitching.
-Intake: Im going to do some experimenting here. Not too shure yet.
-Recarpet rear window tray black and delete third brake light. DONE
-Upholster lower part of center console black, gloss black / silver paint top side, black leather armrest.
-Black carpet (matched to center console) on lower tray part of doors.(Part that always gets scratched with people's feet)
-Acura TL silver dash knobs for my manual HVAC controls.
-Make rear side marker lights clear/red, with red/white switch back l.e.d. for running light and reverse light.
-Build one off rear corner tails. Easier to explain down the road once I get some pics.
There is much more basic stuff I need to do, so- ya.
Hope you guys enjoy!

Re: Ghost Ryder's 01' Coupe. "Red"

Looks like a good start. Looking forward to more info/pics on the gauges and wheels.

Chris(RR) re-did every single rivet on his new wheels, including paint. Are you removing them and painting them whole or just the visible parts?

Thanks. I have more pics of gauge install I want to get up. Just want to be more organized when I do. As for the wheels; Im just painting what you see. The bolt heads are chrome from XXR. Unfortunately they are actually a one piece wheel with a pressed on stainless lip. I tried to remove one, but it didn't like it....So each one is getting two coats of the black, and a coat of clear.

Love that red. I had the same on my first car (88 Nissan sentra) back in the day.
I think I am going to do the same dash/cluster bezel do you like it still?

Re: Ghost Ryder's 01' Coupe. "Red"

Dat paint. It's so cool to see the charcoal interior in a red coupe.

With such a clean platform to start with, and knowing how meticulous you are, this thing is going to look really sharp.

I need to start my cluster project now that the wheels are done.
