So I am thinking about getting some wheels with this spec: 17x8.5 +30. I have a 4dr 2001 ex v6.

I am trying to put some tires on this car that will look regular (basically a flat side wide) which tire spec will help achieve this look: 215/45 or 225/45. I been look at the forums for a long time but a lot a of the pictures have been unavailable since they are old. So, I need some help. I looked at cars with 235/45. It looked clean and what I want but i feel that 235 might be to0 big. I don't want it to look like muscle car tires on my car if you know what i am saying. I want the overall appearance to look good and normal.

I seen this spec(215/45/17 and 17x7 +44) wheel and tire in person and it was a great fit. I was wondering will 215/45 give me a great fit. I measure it and 215mm = 8.5 inch and 17x8.5 is the same so it should be a great fit right? Or am I thinking about it wrong?

Another question. Will 225/45 look to big or will it look normal for our car?

Has the car been lowered? If not, that needs done first as +30 is aggressive enough that the wheels will poke a lot at stock height. If you don't plan to lower the car, I would recommend 8 - 8.5" as your max width and +42 - 45 as your max offset. If the car is lowered, how much?

Yeah. The car is lowered on Function and form type 2. There is about a 1 inch gap in the front and probably half an inch gap in the rear. And what do you mean by poke? just want to clarify. Will the poke look good at my lowered height? I don't what it to be where the tire and the lip of the wheel does not touch. Kind of like where there is a 1 and a half inch gap in between them. I want it to touch. I want my tires and wheels to look as normal as possible.

That looks nice:waytogo:. Do you 17.x8.5 +30 think will look nice on those? Do you think the extra .5 will be too wide for it?

I'm running 18x9.5 all around now. You can easily fit an 8.5 with that offset.

Fosho. Hopefully the combo of 17x8.5 +30 with 215/45/17 fit well. I don't really want it to show any poke. I just want the wheels and the tires to be snugged together for a normal look. That's why I keep thinking about 225/45/17 but at the same time I don't want the tires to look too wide for the car. Thanks for the help:waytogo:

Also, is that 18x9.5 with 215/45?
