lowering down your springs

hey just wanted to ask if you can lower your springs by yourself or will you have to take it to a mechanic to do it for you. i have KYB

you can't lower the springs you have, unless you cut them, which is unsafe/dangerous/stupid.

You need to get 'lowering' springs to replace the ones you have now...installing them isn't that hard, you just need some tools like a spring compressor. Might be a little bit harder if your suspension stuff has been on since day one and is rusted/seized...

search. lowering springs/coilover threads are all over the site. to lower the car you need coilovers which are adjustable or lowering springs paired with aftermarket shocks. kyb arent the best shocks to pair with lowering springs
