Homelink conversion

Lately, I was wondering if it was possible to do a conversion from non-homelink to homelink. The reason behind this is the crappy range that is on the garage remote that came with the house, which can't open the garage door even if we are 2-3 blocks far! Additional info about my ride: 1999 Honda Accord LX. Is there more wiring or connections that are involved in this process and would I need to get one from a parts Accord EX and higher trim?

Re: Homelink conversion

It is possible. I've done it on mine. The homelink is a tad too bulky to fit in the LX. You'll need to make sure you get the LX version of the homelink. It's all plug and play. Just use the same existing plug.
