As requested I made a diy for repairing a subwoofer with a ripped or dry rotted surround with a GOOD voice coil.
This is the kit I used -

The ebay seller id is springfieldspeaker.
The kit comes with two surrounds specifically for JL W0 and W1. You may be able to find a speaker specific kit for your sub, but if you can't you can buy a universal kit. The kit comes with glue and a small brush. You will also need a sharpie, rubbing alcohol, and a sharp pocket knife. Read over the instructions a few times to familiarize yourself with the process.
