As requested I made a diy for repairing a subwoofer with a ripped or dry rotted surround with a GOOD voice coil.

This is the kit I used -

http://cgi.ebay.com/2-JL-Audio-10-i...ageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ht_748wt_932

The ebay seller id is springfieldspeaker.

The kit comes with two surrounds specifically for JL W0 and W1. You may be able to find a speaker specific kit for your sub, but if you can't you can buy a universal kit. The kit comes with glue and a small brush. You will also need a sharpie, rubbing alcohol, and a sharp pocket knife. Read over the instructions a few times to familiarize yourself with the process.

Wow, 5 stars!! Thanks guys. It took me a few hours to do the diy, glad to see it was worth the time.
