I removed my Egr to clean it and noticed there is no gasket. Is this ok? Looks to be ok.

I cleaned the egr ports with brake cleaner and cleaned the port near the intake as well.

Should a gasket be in place?

Txs.

Look up the parts diagram and if there is a gasket listed then it should have one.

They use graphite type gaskets. It probably is stuck to the valve or intake and looks like metal. If its stuck but not damaged theres no need to replace it
