yeah the JL Audio ones were overpriced locally, but i didn't want to wait and pay for shipping.
they didn't have 1/0 AWG wires though, so if i can't find any locally by the end of the week, i might just return the JL ones and buy everything online.

i want to try and get this done by the weekend.

okay, so there are how many grounds then? 2? plus the battery to alternator?
that concludes the "Big Three" right?

circuit city should have 0 gauge, but you will pay out the *** for it.

ask the installers if they have any scraps lying around, some of the guys will sell it to you for cheap.

also, if you have any welding supply stores around they usually have 1/0 for under $2/ft and some even have 2/0, 3/0, etc (but that's just overkill :))

the big three is:

1. alt to battery (fused if possible)
2. battery negative to chassis
3. engine block to chassis

It looks a lot closer then it actually is in the picture, but its doing good. The lights barely dim you can see them dim a little bit but not as bad as they use to and nothing dangerous.

The inside clock light still goes in and out..

What ever, the inside isn't what botherd me the head lights is what botherd me and its 99% fixed...

Mighty Mike your going to want to use a 250-300A ANL fuse.

Anyone know a cheap site to get all the materials necessary for this besides partsexpress.com?

look for an "ANL" style fuse and holder. "AGU" fuses only go up to about 100 amp.

to make your life easier try to fine a fuse holder that has screw down terminals that accept bare 1/0 wire (not the ones that require you to put a ring terminal on the ends of the wires).

P3 1/0 GA Power Wire is now $2.98/ft. I think it's being discontinued

P3 Battery Terminals are also $3.43 each
