My current alternate is going bad and I need to replace it soon.
I found an alternator for a 3.0 engine cheaper the one for 2.3
My question is does any one know if the 3.0 alternator will fit my 2.3 engine?
It would also an upgrade since its a 160 amp alternator

If your 6GA is not a V6, it's an i4 (inline 4 cylinder).

You know the one made for your car will fit, it's just a matter of finding out what the modification is for adapting the V6 alt to work.

It will fit but with some modification.

I've been working on making the OEM bracket fit for a while. I don't have a welder, but have friends that do but trying to find the time to get it done is hard. I've got an Odyssey alternator and have the spacing done but have to get some brackets cut and re welded to make it work. I'm trying to use the factory 4 cylinder adjuster and that is the hold up. If I went with a simple arc bracket I would have it finished in no time. I've got some pics of the progress but my OEM alternator is still working fine, but I know time is short. Once I get it finished up I'll post some pics.
