Re: 99CcordMTF23's H22-Swap thread! Update, 6/17/12, pics pg4! RUNNING!

Small Update. Yesterday I realized that i ran the Gas tank vapor vent line into the intake without the control solenoid from the F23 and it was causing a high idle. So i plugged the port on the intake, and put a cap on the vent line with a tiny hole poked in it. It seems to have an easier time starting and idling. Also Made a Better Ground for my Ecu, this also helped. More updates later.

Congrats on your swap bro.

Thanks man! If people where i lived could afford good parts, I would have started my own shop a long time ago, doing swaps and stuff. lol

Still does it. When the engine is hot (HOT) it wants to bog under 3k rpms, at partial throttle in all gears. It just sputters, coughs, backfires, then manages to pull through it. Acts like it's not getting fuel. Almost like vapor lock on the old V8's. Plugs still look like they are burning lean, and Throttle response isn't exactly responsive for an h22. It revs slower under no load than the F23 did...? I'm pretty sure my Timing is perfect as far as the Cams/crank is concerned. Looking into an adjustable FPR.

Any Idea's? One thing to note, it shounds like i have a supercharger whining under the hood. Timing belt could be too tight? (I have it adjusted snug, and you can turn the belt about 45* with your fingers. I personally think it shounds awesome, but don't want there to be a problem since i've never heard this noise since my Integra that shredded the Tbelt the day after i got it.

I just ordered a Cheapy Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and an OEM Iat sensor. Should be here early next week. Almost got 300miles on it, and a quarter tank left, with my ****ty driving and the A/c going constantly, Good on Fuel i suppose? lol

Question, are you using the stock f23 drivers mount? I know you said you're using the stock h22 mount but every mount I've seen it looks more like this one does. I'll be doing this swap and be using your writeup as a guide since it's answered all my questions in great detail.

In the Pic you can See i'm currently being super ghetto, Running the H22 drivers mount, and The Accord (F23a1) Bar with one bolt through it, to the accord chassis mount (Big rubber thing) And all the other mounts are the stock accord mounts aswell, Just swap brackets to the H22. it works for now untill i buy either a EuroR mount for the engine or modify this one. For the older accords its strictly a bolt in affair (no modified mounts needed, mostly just beefier mount kits to handle more power). Hopefully this answered your question. If not let me know.

So pretty much you just bolted the f23 chassis mount to the h22 motor bracket. I plan on getting the innovative driver mount, but its good to know it'll fit without much modification :)

Side note, how have you been enjoying the new HP and 0-60's?
