took in water when it flooded in so cal back in december. now i need 1300 to get it fixed unless i can find a really cheap motor

Ah right, the water logged motor.

Yeah, not sure what you budget is, but you may want to consider sourcing out parts from where you are......I don't know of any member's who are handy with engine builds in your area, other wise, I am sure it would have been easy to work something out once you had all the parts.

i know a guy that has 45hr labor but no one has the parts i need here. not even the junkyards have anything. i can get a good condition h22 head for 75 and go for a g23 but thats probably out of my price range

There was someone selling either parts or the whole G23 engine setup, did you see that?
