My 2000 Accord coupe has an SRS light on

I tried to reset it myself and no luck. So I took the car to a garage to get the code read. They told me the passenger seat weight sensor was the culprit. This shop said it couldn't fix they problem.

Then I took my car to a shop that deals with Japanese imports only. They quoted me $300 for the part and $200 for labour!!

I called Honda and they confirmed that the part cost $400!!

Any suggestions to bring this cost down? Has anyone had a similar problem?

There are some suggestions in a recent thread addressing this. Need to replace with a used sensor, used seat bottom, or swap in different seats altogether.
