Yeah bots asking for manual registration is a possibility, but unlikely (hopefully - otherwise my email is going to get owned). I asked for a referring member to try and prevent that so I can PM the current member to confirm.

What if potential registrants had to c&p an acknowledgment of their joining the forum and then had to send a message to an admin. It would be kinda like a syllabus agreement in college to your professor. No hyperlinks could be involved though.

U shud have a temporary code sent to ur email upon initial registering. Like a temp password

Send a confirmation link in e-mail so that anyone who registers needs to go click that link and activate their account before viewing or posting anything. :smash:
