I've looked and seen responses in regards to those wanting to use a 235/45/17 on stock height, but nothing really at all lowered.

I currently have this set up on my 4dr sedan, and just want to make my wheel gap a little more attractive and get rid of some body roll, so I want to go with Tein Basics coilovers.

How much of a drop, if at all, can I do with these tires? I bought them when I didn't have plans to mod my car :/

So, I'm not super knowledgeable about wheels and stuff, and definitely wasn't when I had these put on awhile ago.

The rims are 17x7, and my tires are 235/45/17. I don't know if that helps or not.

Definitely here to learn haha

You're getting there. Now you need the offset. It'll probably on the backside of the rim, possibly in a spoke section. What you're looking for is something like +38, or +40 for example.

I can't find anything like that. Maybe its written on the mounting plate of the rim or something, because I cannot see anything on the back of the spokes or the back of the rim besides bolt pattern

So, just found the offset I think. Its either ET 3|4 or ET 3|8, really hard to see; I was able to angle my phone camera between the spoke and my rotors

I have XXR 531's 15x8 +0 wrapped in 195/50/15 tires and I want to reduce the poke and make the wheels flush. Is 225/45 the way to go? Or will stretching to 175/50 work as well?

Hate to say it, but to reduce the poke, you'll need a different offset rim (something like a +38).
Side note, I love how it looks right now. My 99 Accord is DEP too, and I'm running 215-55-15's on 15-6.5 +38 rims. I had to add a 10mm spacer to the rear to get the rears more flushed up with the fronts.
Here's a couple of pics of mine.
