Re: Led signals

You should check your local laws to make sure that's legal. I'm willing to bet white turn signals aren't. That said, yes load resistors will be needed for each turn signal bulb. The alternative is an LED compatible flasher relay. Reverse lights need no modification to take an LED.

Re: Led signals

Hi, I have switchback Amber to white led turn signals/markers on the front of my car and now I want to install some White led turn signals and reverse lights in the rear... Since I have load resistors for the bulbs up front will I have to wire in some for the rear too?

I have searched but could not find much, I have switchback LEDS for signals in the front and am planning to put some Amber LED signals in the rear, since having resistors for the front signals will I need to wire in some for the rest also?

Please don't start a new thread for a question you already asked in this thread. Merged.

I used switchback lights for reverse and turn. Then I ran wires, and used 'clear/red' lights from ebay.

So when I hit a turn, that turn and the close reverse blink orange. Or in reverse, all four (turn-rev-rev-turn) light up white.

I also hacked my brake/tail lights. The ones on the trunk lid were only tail. I mod'd those to also be brake lights. With my added 3rd brake light (stock=bottom, mine=top) I now have twice as many brake lights!

I like the reverse turn idea. I wired my LED brake lights so the trunk lights up instead of just the outers too.

How did you do the reverse/turn wiring? I assume turn circuit to the LED amber circuit and Rev to the LED White circuit? load resistors on the amber circuit too?

I would like to know how many resistors are needed and where on the wiring would I put them....

Does anyone know how to make the trunk lights on the Depo Tails light up brighter when you hit the brakes?

For the brakes I just tapped the signal from my 3rd brake light to the trunk brake light wires.

My camera sucks at amber, those are much brighter irl.

And how to make trunk lights tail & stop:

All sockets/pigtails came from the junkyard ;)

The lights don't fit, get a drill.

Now they fit! But they are too long...
